Hadith 6:8
'Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Wasil, from Bashar ibn Abi Sayf, from al-Walid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'Iyad ibn Ghutayf, who attributed it to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), he said: We entered upon Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah to visit him, and his face was towards the wall, and his wife was sitting at his head. I said, "How did Abu 'Ubaydah spend the night?" She said, "He spent the night with a reward." He turned his face toward us and said, "I did not spend the night with a reward. Whoever Allah tests with a trial in his body, it is his portion."
