Hadith 6:805
Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Mutarrif, from al-Sha'bi, who said: If the infant cries out [at birth], the funeral prayer is performed over him, and he inherits. If he does not cry out, the funeral prayer is not performed over him, and he does not inherit.
