Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Mansur ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, who said: I said to al-Sha’bi: "A man buried a deceased person, so he lowered him from the direction of his feet [into] the grave." He said: "This, by Allah, is the Sunnah."
