Hadith 6:887
Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, who said: A *lahd* (niche) was made for the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and it was taken from the direction of the *qibla*. His grave was raised so that it would be recognized.
