Hadith 6:899
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Khaythama, who said: They used to consider it desirable, when they placed the deceased in the grave, to say: "In the name of Allah, and in the way of Allah, and upon the creed of the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, protect him from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of the Fire, and from the evil of Satan."
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عمرو بن مرة عن خيثمة قال كانوا يستحبون إذا وضعوا الميت في القبر أن يقولوا بسم الله وفي سبيل الله وعلى ملة رسول الله اللهم أجره من عذاب القبر ومن عذاب النار ومن شر الشيطان
