Hadith 6:991
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, [saying] Hakam ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, from 'Atik ibn Jubayr, from Abu Muwayhiba, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was commanded to go out to al-Baqi' so that he might pray for them or greet them.
حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم ثنا الحكم بن فضيل عن يعلى بن عطاء عن عتيك بن جبير عن أبي مويهبة مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال أمر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يخرج إلى البقيع فيصلي عليهم أو يسلم عليهم
