Hadith 6:995
11794. Abd al-A’la narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Thumamah ibn Shafi, who said: We went out as warriors during the time of Mu’awiyah to this mountain pass, and Fudalah ibn Ubayd was in command over us. He said: Then a paternal uncle of mine named Nafi’ passed away. Fudalah stood with us at his grave. When we buried him, he said: "Make his grave level, for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to command the leveling of graves."
حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن محمد بن إسحاق عن ثمامة بن شفي قال خرجنا غزاة في زمان معاوية إلى هذا الدرب وعلينا فضالة بن عبيد قال فتوفي ( ( ( فت ) ) ) بن ( ( ( وفي ) ) ) عم لي يقال له نافع فقام معنا فضالة على حضرته ( ( ( حفرته ) ) ) فلما دفناه قال خففوا عن حفرته فإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يأمر بتسوية القبور
