Hadith 6:997
Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from Ibn Ashwa', from Hanash al-Kinani, who said: Ali entered upon the chief of police and said: "Go, and do not leave any decoration (ornamentation/image) except that you efface it, and do not leave any grave except that you level it." Then he called him and said: "Do you know to what I have sent you? To that which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent me for."
حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن أشعث عن بن أشوع عن حنش الكناني قال دخل علي على صاحب شرطة فقال انطلق فلا تدع زخرفا إلا القيته ولا قبرا إلا سويته ثم دعاه فقال هل تدري إلى أين بعثتك إلى ما بعثني عليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
