Hadith 8:1162
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Ata, who said: They used to dislike entering the House (the Kaaba) while wearing leather socks (khuff), sandals (na'l), and 'asb (a type of garment or footwear), out of reverence for the House.
