Hadith 8:1231
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, regarding the one who is prevented (from completing Hajj/Umrah): He said: He shall send the sacrificial animal. When it is slaughtered, he becomes released (from the state of Ihram), and he is obligated to perform Hajj the following year.
