Hadith 8:1232
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Muhammad, who said: He used to say: If a man makes Hajj obligatory upon himself and is then afflicted by a blockage (hasr), he shall send his sacrificial animal. When the sacrificial animal reaches its destination, if he wishes, he may return and release himself from some things and remain in the state of ihram for others.
