Hadith 8:1275
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Shareek narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, who said: I performed Tawaf around the House (the Kaaba), and the obligatory prayer was attended (i.e., the time for it arrived). I wanted to pray two rak'ahs, and there were people sitting. I came to a circle (of people) and asked them. An old man said to me: "Are you not satisfied with Ibn Umar? I saw him doing it."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا شريك عن عبد الملك قال طفت بالبيت وحضرت المكتوبة فأردت أن أصلي ركعتين وثم أناس جلوس فأتيت حلقة فسألتهم فقال لي شيخ أما ترضى بابن عمر رأيته يفعله
