Hadith 8:1278
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, that he used to dislike that anything be taken from the perfume of the Kaaba to be used for seeking healing. And when he saw the servant taking from it, he would lose it, and he would not fail to rebuke him. Ata said: One of us, when he wanted to seek healing with it, would bring perfume of his own, wipe the Stone with it, and then take it.
