Hadith 8:13
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Amr informed us, from Mirdas bin Abd al-Rahman al-Laythi, he said: We entered upon Abdullah bin Umar, and he narrated to us, saying: "There is no one who enters into the state of Ihram (for Hajj or Umrah) except that Allah says to him: 'Receive glad tidings.'" Mirdas said: "O Abu Abd al-Rahman, by Allah, one is not given glad tidings except with Paradise." He (Ibn Umar) said: "Who are you, O son of my brother?" He said: "I am Mirdas." He said: "Our best ones used to pledge to one another upon that."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو عن مرداس بن عبد الرحمن الليثي قال دخلنا على عبد الله بن عمر فحدثنا قال ما من أحد يهل إلا قال الله له أبشر فقال مرداس يا أبا أحمد فوالله ما يبشر إلا بالجنة قال من أنت يا بن اخي قال انا مرداس قال كان خيارنا يتبايعون على ذلك
