Hadith 8:1309
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya bin Sa’id narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Abdullah bin Kathir, he said: I saw ‘Umar bin ‘Abd al-‘Aziz on the day of departure (al-sadr), and it coincided with a Friday. He stood and delivered a sermon on the ground before the House (the Ka’bah). Then he spoke some words, then he prayed the Friday prayer as two rak’ahs.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن بن جريج عن عبد الله بن كثير قال رأيت عمر بن عبد العزيز يوم الصدر وافق يوم جمعة فأقام فخطب بالأرض قبل البيت ثم تكلم بكلمات ثم صلى الجمعة ركعتين
