Hadith 8:1345
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, who said: 'Uthman prayed four rak'ahs in Mina. So 'Abdullah said: "I prayed with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in Mina two rak'ahs, and with Abu Bakr two rak'ahs, and with 'Umar two rak'ahs. Then the paths diverged for you. I would have wished that I had two accepted rak'ahs instead of my four rak'ahs." Al-A'mash said: Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah narrated to me that 'Abdullah prayed four [rak'ahs] after that. It was said to him: "You criticized 'Uthman, then you prayed four?" He said: "Dissent is more severe."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد قال صلى عثمان بمنى أربع ركعات فقال عبد الله صليت مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بمنى ركعتين ومع أبي بكر ركعتين ومع عمر ركعتين ثم تفرقت بكم الطرق ولوددت أن لي مع أربع ركعات ركعتين متقبلتين قال الأعمش فحدثني معاوية بن قرة أن عبد الله صلى بعدها أربعا فقيل له عتب على عثمان ثم صلى أربعا قال فقال عبد الله الخلاف أشد
