Hadith 8:1428
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from Sadaqah ibn Yasar, from Abdullah ibn Umar, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) appointed Dhu al-Hulayfah for the people of Medina, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn for the people of Najd. A man said: "And for the people of Iraq?" He said: "There was no Iraq on that day."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا جرير عن صدقة بن يسار عن عبد الله بن عمر قال وقت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأهل المدينة ذا الحليفة ولأهل الشام الجحفة ولأهل اليمن يلملم ولأهل نجد قرن فقال رجل فلأهل العراق قال لا عراق يومئذ
