Hadith 8:1455
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Talq ibn Habib, who said: ‘Umar said: "O people of Makkah, fear Allah regarding the sanctuary of Allah. Do you know who used to inhabit this House? The tribe of so-and-so used to be in it, and they violated its sanctity, so they were destroyed. And the tribe of so-and-so used to be in it, and they violated its sanctity, so they were destroyed." He continued until he mentioned as many of the Arab tribes as Allah willed for him to mention. Then he said: "For me to commit ten sins outside of it is more beloved to me than that I commit a single sin here."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن عمرو بن مرة عن طلق بن حبيب قال قال عمر يا أهل مكة اتقوا الله في حرم الله أتدرون من كان ساكن هذا البيت كان به بنو فلان فأحلوا حرمه فأهلكوا وكان به بنو فلان فأحلوا حرمه فأهلكوا حتى ذكر ما شاء الله من قبائل العرب أن يذكر ثم قال لأن أعمل عشر خطايا حوليه أحب إلي من أن أعمل ها هنا خطيئة واحدة
