Hadith 8:1458
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Ibn Sabit, who said: When the season (of pilgrimage) occurred during the Jahiliyyah, the people would go out, and no one would remain in Makkah. A thief remained behind, and he intended to take a piece of gold, so he placed it, then he entered to take more. When he inserted his head, the House (the Ka'bah) harmed him. They found his head inside the House and his posterior outside of it, so they threw him to the dogs and repaired the House.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا بن فضيل عن يزيد بن أبي زياد عن بن سابط قال كان الناس إذا كان الموسم بالجاهلية خرجوا فلم يبق أحد بمكة وإنه تخلف رجل سارق فعمد إلى قطعة من ذهب فوضعها ثم دخل ليأخذ أيضا فلما أدخل رأسه ضره البيت فوجدوا رأسه في البيت واسته خارجه فألقوه للكلاب واصلحوا البيت
