Hadith 8:1470
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, who said: I was holding the bridle of the mount of Abdullah ibn Umar. He said: "How will you be when you demolish this House, such that you do not leave a stone upon a stone?" They said: "And we are upon Islam?" He said: "And we are upon Islam." He said: "Then what?" He said: "Then it will be rebuilt better than it was." "So when you see that Makkah has been dug up with tunnels, and you see the buildings rising above the tops of the mountains, then know that the matter has overshadowed you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن يعلى بن عطاء قال كنت آخذ بلجام دابة عبد الله بن عمر فقال كيف أنتم إذا هدمتم هذا البيت فلم تدعوا حجرا على حجر قالوا ونحن على الإسلام قال ونحن على الإسلام قال ثم ماذا قال ثم يبنى أحسن ما كان فإذا رأيت مكة قد لعجت كطائم ورأيت البناء يعلو رؤوس الجبال فاعلم أن الأمر قد أظلك
