Hadith 8:1472
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il bin ‘Abd al-Malik, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from ‘Aishah, she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If we had the capacity, I would have demolished the Ka’bah and rebuilt it, and I would have made two doors for it: a door through which the people enter, and a door through which they exit." When Ibn al-Zubayr took charge, he demolished it and made two doors for it, and it was as such. Then, when al-Hajjaj overcame him, he demolished it and restored it to its original construction.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن إسماعيل بن عبد الملك عن بن أبي مليكة عن عائشة قالت قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لو كان عندنا سعة لهدمت الكعبة ولبنيتها وجعلت لها بابين بابا يدخل منه الناس وبابا يخرجون منه فلما ولي بن الزبير هدمها فجعل لها بابين فكانت كذلك فلما ظهر الحجاج عليه هدمها وأعاد بناءها الأول
