Hadith 8:1487
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Aswad ibn Qays, from his father, from Ibn al-Zubayr, who said: It was only named Bakkah because the people come from every side as pilgrims.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن الأسود بن قيس عن أبيه عن بن الزبير قال إنما سميت بكة لأن الناس يجيئون من كل جانب حجاجا
