Hadith 8:1524
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from 'Ata', who said: Every sacrificial animal (hady) that enters the Sacred Precinct (al-Haram) has fulfilled the obligation for its owner, except for the sacrificial animal of Tamattu'. For it is necessary for him to perform his rite (nusuk) with it, by which he becomes in a state of ihram-release on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr).
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن حجاج عن عطاء قال كل هدي دخل الحرم فقد وفى عن صاحبه إلا هدي المتعة فإنه لا بد له من نسكه يحل بها يوم النحر
