Hadith 8:1527
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abbad bin al-Awwam narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Abu Ja’far, he said: If he wishes, he may perform ramal (brisk walking), and if he wishes, he may not perform ramal. He said: And Ata’ used to view it as flexible; if he wished, he would not perform ramal, though ramal was more beloved to him.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن حجاج عن أبي جعفر قال إن شاء رمل وإن شاء لم يرمل قال وكان عطاء يراه واسعا إن شاء لم يرمل وكان الرمل أحب إليه
