Hadith 8:1570
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ata', that he did not see anything [due] upon the one who did not perform Sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah. I said: "He has indeed abandoned something from the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." And he used to issue fatwas in public regarding [the requirement of] blood [sacrifice].
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن بن جريج عن عطاء أنه كان لا يرى على من لم يسع بين الصفا والمروة شيئا قلت قد ترك شيئا من سنة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وكان يفتي في العلانية بدم
