Hadith 8:1745
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Shabib ibn Hawshab, from al-Qasim, who said: The companions of Muhammad, when they entered into the state of ihram, would carry swords with them in the scabbards.
