Hadith 8:1812
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Usamah narrated to us, from al-Hasan and ‘Ata’, that they both said regarding a man who lost his voluntary sacrificial animal (badana) and bought another one: They said: If he had placed a garland (qilada) upon the one he bought, he should slaughter both of them. And if he had not placed a garland upon it, he may sell it if he wishes.
