Hadith 8:1827
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Ma'd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father, who said: We were with Talha ibn 'Ubayd Allah during the Hajj, and we were in the state of ihram. He said: A bird was gifted to us while Talha was sleeping. He said: Some of us ate [of it], and some of us abstained out of piety and did not eat. When Talha woke up, they mentioned that to him. He said: He stood up for those who ate it and said: I ate it with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد القطان عن بن جريج عن محمد بن المنكدر عن معاد بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه قال كنا مع طلحة بن عبيد الله في الحج ونحن محرمون قال فأهدي لنا طائر وطلحة نائم قال منا من أكل ومنا من تورع فلم يأكل فلما استيقظ طلحة ذكروا ذلك له قال فوقف من أكله وقال أكلتها مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
