Hadith 8:1829
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Usama bin Zayd, from Salim, he said: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: When I arrived from Bahrain, a group of people from the people of Iraq met me and asked me about the one in the state of ihram who hunts game and eats it. I gave them a fatwa to eat it. Then I arrived to Umar and asked him about that. He said: "If you had given them a fatwa other than that, I would never have given you a fatwa again."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن أسامة بن زيد عن سالم قال سمعت أبا هريرة قال لما قدمت من البحرين لقيني قوم من أهل العراق فسألوني عن الحلال يصيد الصيد فيأكل الحرام فأفتيتهم بأكله فقدمت على عمر فسألته عن ذلك فقال لو أفتيتهم بغيره ما أفتيت أحدا ابدا
