Hadith 8:1834
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from ‘Ubayd Allah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, from al-Sa’b ibn Jaththama, who said: A wild donkey was gifted to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) at al-Abwa’ or Waddan, while he was in the state of ihram. He said: So he returned it. And he said: "It is not that we returned it to you, but we are in the state of ihram."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا بن عيينة عن الزهري عن عبيد الله عن بن عباس عن الصعب بن جثامة قال أهديت إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالأبواء أو بودان حمار وحش وهو محرم قال فرده وقال أنه ليس منا رد عليك ولكنا حرم
