Hadith 8:1868
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hatim ibn Isma'il narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, from Jabir: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, began at al-Safa, so he ascended it, unified Allah, and magnified Him. He said: "There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner; to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise, and He is capable of all things. There is no god but Allah alone; He fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and defeated the confederates alone." Then he supplicated between that. He said: He did the like of that three times. Then he descended to al-Marwa until his feet moved quickly in the bottom of the valley. Then, when we ascended, he walked until he reached al-Marwa, and he did upon al-Marwa as he did upon al-Safa.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا حاتم بن إسماعيل عن جعفر عن أبيه عن جابر أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بدأ بالصفا فرقى ووحد الله وكبره وقال لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير لا إله إلا الله وحده أنجز وعده ونصر عبده وهزم الأحزاب وحده ثم دعا بين ذلك قال مثل ذلك ثلاث مرات ثم نزل المروة حتى انصبت قدماه إلى بطن الوادي حتى إذا صعدنا مشى حتى أتى المروة ففعل على المروة كما فعل على الصفا
