Hadith 8:1871
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, from Ali, who said: Whoever mats [his hair], or ties it in a knot, or braids it, then shaving [the head] has become obligatory upon him.
