Hadith 8:1874
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, he said: I applied perfume to my head before I entered into Ihram. Then I met Ibn al-Zubayr, and he said: "As for Umar, he used to consider shaving [the head] necessary for whoever matted [their hair], but as for me, I do not consider it necessary except for what I intended."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عبيد الله عن بن أبي مليكة قال وضعت على رأسي طيبا قبل أن احرم فلقيت بن الزبير فقال أما عمر فكان يرى الحلق على من لبد وأما أنا فلا أرى إلا ما نويت
