Hadith 8:1935
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Amr ibn Dinar, who said: The man who trimmed [the hair of] Nafi‘ ibn ‘Alqamah during his governorship informed me. He said: He [Nafi‘] said to me, "Begin with the left side." I said, "I used to trim [the hair of] Ibn ‘Abbas, and he would say, 'Begin with the right side.'" He said, "Proceed with what you have been commanded to do."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو خالد عن بن جريج عن عمرو بن دينار قال أخبرني الرجل الذي قصر عن نافع بن علقمة في أمارته قال فقال لي ابدأ بالشق الأيسر قال قلت إني قصرت عن بن عباس فقال ابدأ بالأيمن قال امض لما أمرت به
