Hadith 8:1948
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Mansur, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from al-Hasan al-Arani, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas—or from al-Hasan from Ibn Abbas—who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came at night, and he had us ride [on our mounts] to the Jamrah, [along with] some young boys of Banu Abd al-Muttalib. He began patting our thighs and saying: "O my sons, do not stone the Jamrah until the sun rises." And I do not think anyone stoned it until the sun rose. Ibn Abbas used to say: "Whoever departs from Arafah [before sunset], there is no Hajj for him."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن منصور عن سلمة بن كهيل عن الحسن العرني عن سعيد بن جبير عن بن عباس أو عن الحسن عن بن عباس قال أتى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بليل فرحلنا على جمرة أغيلمة بني عبد المطلب وجعل يلطخ أفخاذنا ويقول أبيني لا ترجموا الجمرة حتى تطلع الشمس وما أحسب أحدا يرميها حتى تطلع الشمس فكان بن عباس يقول من أفاض من عرفة فلا حج له
