Hadith 8:199
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ghaylan ibn Jarir, who said: I and Hakam ibn al-Barand were together when a man came to him and said: "I placed my hand upon a place on my wife, and I did not lift it until I felt desire." We said: "We have no knowledge regarding this." So they went to ‘Ali ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Bariqi, and we reached him and asked him, and he said: "I have no knowledge of this." While we were in that state, we were with Jabir ibn Zayd. I said: "That is Abu al-Sha’tha’, go to him and ask him, then return to us and inform us." So he went to him and asked him, then he returned to us, and joy was recognizable on his face. He said: "He asked me to keep it secret," so we thought that he had commanded him to offer a blood sacrifice (damm).
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا بن علية عن أيوب عن غيلان بن جرير قال كنت أنا وحكم بن البرند فأتاه رجل فقال إني وضعت يدي من امرأتي موضعا فلم أرفعها حتى أحببت فقلنا ما لنا بها علم فانطلقوا إلى علي بن عبد الله البارقي فانتهينا إليه فسألناه فقال ما لي بهذا علم فبينما نحن كذلك إذا نحن بجابر بن زيد فقلت ذلك أبو الشعثاء وأئته فاسأله ثم ارجع إلينا فأخبرنا فأتاه فسأله ثم رجع إلينا يعرف في وجهه البشر فقال إنه استكتمني فظننا أنه أمره بدم
