Hadith 8:2020
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Hammad bin Zayd, from Sulayman bin Ya’qub, from his father, who said: A man from the tribe died and bequeathed that a camel be slaughtered on his behalf. We asked Ibn Abbas about a cow, and he said: "It suffices." He said: "From which people are you?" I said: "From Banu Rabah." He said: "And where would Banu Rabah get cows from? Cows are only for the Azd and Abd al-Qays."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن حماد بن زيد عن سليمان بن يعقوب عن أبيه قال مات رجل من الحي وأوصى أن ينحر عنه بدنة فسألنا بن عباس عن البقرة فقال تجزي قال من أي قوم أنت قال قلت من بني رباح قال وأني لبني رباح البقر إنما البقر للأزد وعبد القيس
