Hadith 8:2022
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Marwan bin Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Salih bin Dirham, he said: I heard Abdullah bin Umar, and he was asked about the Sa'i (walking) between al-Safa and al-Marwah. Ibn Umar said to the questioner: "Begin with al-Safa and al-Marwah. If you fear that you will not be able to count (the laps), then take with you stones or pebbles. Throw one at al-Safa and another at al-Marwah."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا مروان بن معاوية عن صالح بن درهم قال سمعت عبد الله بن عمر وسئل عن السعي بين الصفا والمروة فقال بن عمر للسائل افتح بالصفا والمروة فإن خشيت أن لا تحصي فخذ معك أحجارا أو حصيات فألق بالصفا واحدة وبالمروة أخرى
