Hadith 8:2042
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Mujahid, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "The man of Makkah is the holder of its sanctuary, by the head of his horse. It is not lawful to sell its dwellings nor to lease its houses."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن مجاهد قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ( ( ( رجل ) ) ) مكة ( ( ( ممسك ) ) ) حرم ( ( ( برأس ) ) ) حرمها ( ( ( فرسه ) ) ) الله لا يحل ( ( ( يضيع ) ) ) بيع ( ( ( أجر ) ) ) رباعها ( ( ( المؤمنين ) ) ) ولا اجارة بيوتها
