Hadith 8:2058
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja’d, from Ibn ‘Abbas, he said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "Peace be upon you, O boy of the sons of ‘Abd al-Muttalib." He said: "And upon you." He said: "I am a man from your maternal uncles of the Banu Sa’d ibn Bakr, and I am the messenger of my people to you and their delegate. I am going to ask you, so I will be insistent in my questioning of you, and I will adjure you, so I will be insistent in my adjuring of you." He said: "Take upon yourself [what you wish], O brother of Banu Sa’d." He said: "We found in your book, and your messengers commanded us, that we should perform the Hajj to the Ancient House. So I adjure you, is it your command regarding that?" He said: "Yes."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن عطاء بن السائب عن سالم بن أبي الجعد عن بن عباس قال جاء أعرابي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال السلام عليك يا غلام بني عبد المطلب فقال وعليك فقال إني رجل من أخوالك من بني سعد بن بكر وإني رسول قومي إليك ووافدهم وإني سائلك فمشيد مسألتي إياك ومناشدك فمشيد مناشدتي إياك قال خذ عليك يا أخا بني سعد قال فإنا وجدنا في كتابك وأمرتنا رسلك أن نحج البيت العتيق فأنشدك أهو أمرك بذلك قال نعم
