Hadith 8:2101
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Umarah, that Shurayh used to make a condition during Hajj. He would say: "You know my intention and what I desire; if a matter occurs, then complete it, for that is more beloved to me, and if it is otherwise, then there is no blame." He said: It reached me that Abu Mu'awiyah retracted this hadith.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عمارة أن شريحا كان يشترط في الحج فيقول إنك قد عرفت بنيتي وما أريد فإن أمرا فأتممه فهو أحب إلي وإن كان غير ذلك فلا حرج قال بلغني أن أبا معاوية رجع عن هذا الحديث
