Hadith 8:2116
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from 'Isam, from 'Abdullah ibn Narjis, who said: I saw the bald-headed 'Umar kiss the Black Stone, and he said: "Indeed, I know that you are a stone that neither harms nor benefits. And were it not that I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, kiss you, I would not have kissed you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن عصام عن عبد الله بن نرجس قال رأيت الأصلع عمر قبل الحجر وقال إني لأعلم أنك حجر لا تضر ولا تنفع ولولا إني رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقبلك ما قبلتك
