Hadith 8:2130
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hammad bin Khalid narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Mu’ammil, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, regarding Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas concerning a Muhrim (a person in the state of Ihram) who killed a sandgrouse. They both said: "Two-thirds of a mudd and two-thirds of a mudd is better than a sandgrouse."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا حماد بن خالد عن عبد الله بن مؤمل عن بن أبي مليكة عن بن عمر وبن عباس في محرم قتل قطاة فقالا ثلثا مد وثلثا مد خير من قطاة
