Hadith 8:2228
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, he said: I asked Ibn Jurayj what 'Ata' used to say regarding a man who goes out while he has left behind in his house some game (hunted animal), and something happens to it (i.e., it is damaged or destroyed). He said: He is liable for it.
