Hadith 8:2272
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Jurayj, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that he disliked for a woman to wash her head with *khatmi* (marshmallow plant), meaning if she intended to shorten [her hair].
