Hadith 8:2354
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ali bin Hashim narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Ata, from Ya'la bin Umayyah, who said: When Umar performed Hajj, he touched the Corner (the Black Stone). Ya'la bin Umayyah used to touch all the corners. Umar said to him, "O Ya'la, what are you doing?" He said, "I touch them all, because there is nothing of the House (the Kaaba) that should be abandoned." Umar said, "Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, not touch only the Stone (the Black Stone) among them?" He said, "Yes." He (Umar) said, "Is there any harm in it?" He (Ya'la) said, "Yes."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن بن أبي ليلى عن عطاء عن يعلى بن أمية قال لما أن حج عمر استلم الركن وكان يعلى بن أمية يستلم الاركان كلها فقال له عمر يا يعلى ما تفعل قال استلمها كلها لأنه ليس شيء من البيت يهجر قال فقال عمر أما رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يستلم منها إلا الحجر قال بلى قال به بسوء قال بلى
