Hadith 8:2369
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas: He said: A woman came to Ibn Abbas and said: "My mother died and she owed a Hajj, so should I perform it on her behalf?" Ibn Abbas said: "Did your mother have a debt?" She said: "Yes." He said: "So what did you do?" She said: "I paid it off on her behalf." Ibn Abbas said: "Then Allah is the best of those to whom a debt is owed."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن سماك عن عكرمة عن بن عباس قال جاءت امرأة إلى بن عباس فقالت إن أمي ماتت وعليها حجة فأقضيها عنها فقال بن عباس هل كان على أمك دين قالت نعم قال فكيف صنعت قالت قضيته عنها قال بن عباس فالله خير غرمائك
