Hadith 8:2482
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Marwan bin Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Qudamah bin Abdullah al-Rawasi, who said: I asked Sa'id bin Jubayr about a brother of mine who died and had never performed Hajj, so should I perform Hajj on his behalf? He said: "Did he leave behind any children?" I said: "No, except for a small young boy." He said: "Perform Hajj on his behalf, for if he had found a messenger, he would have sent [a message] to you to hasten with it." I said: "Should I perform Hajj on his behalf from my wealth or from his wealth?" He said: "No, rather from his wealth." And I asked Ibrahim about it, and he said: "Perform Hajj on his behalf." And I asked al-Dahhak, and he said: "Perform Hajj on his behalf, for that is sufficient for him, and perform Hajj from his wealth."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا مروان بن معاوية عن قدامة بن عبد الله الرواسي قال سألت سعيد بن جبير عن أخ لي مات ولم يحج قط أفأحج عنه قال هل كان ترك من ولد قال قلت لا إلا صبيا صغيرا قال حج عنه فإنه لو وجد رسولا لأرسل إليك أن عجل بها قلت أحج عنه من مالي أو من ماله قال لا بل من ماله وسألت إبراهيم عنه فقال حج عنه قال سألت الضحاك فقال حج عنه فإن ذلك مجزي عنه وحج من ماله
