Hadith 8:2515
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from ‘Ata’, who said: If he wishes, he may fast the first of the ten [days of Dhu al-Hijjah], or the middle of them, or the last of them, [which is] the day of ‘Arafah.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن مبارك عن حجاج عن عطاء قال إن شاء صام أول العشر ووسطها وآخرها يوم عرفة
