Hadith 8:2547
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya bin Abi Za’idah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, he said: I was informed from Muhammad bin Qays, from al-Miswar bin Makhramah bin ‘Abd al-Muttalib, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delivered a sermon at ‘Arafah and said: "To proceed: This is the day of the Greater Hajj. The people of Jahiliyyah and the idolaters used to depart on this day before the setting of the sun, when it would cover the mountains as if they were the turbans of men upon their faces. But we depart after it has set. So do not hasten; our guidance differs from the guidance of the people of shirk and the idols."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا يحيى بن أبي زائدة عن بن جريج قال أخبرت عن محمد بن قيس عن المسور بن مخرمة بن عبد المطلب أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خطب بعرفة فقال أما بعد فإن هذا يوم الحج الأكبر وإن أهل الجاهلية والاوثان كانوا يدفعون في هذا اليوم قبل غروب الشمس حين تعم بها الجبال كأنهم عمائم الرجال في وجوههم وإنا ندفع بعد غروبها فلا تعجلوا بنا هداينا يخالف هدى أهل الشرك والأوثان
